Beaches in Wicklow
While Wicklow may be known as the Garden of Ireland there are also some amazing beaches. We have chosen our favourite beaches for you and included a clip of some of the beautiful beaches on our Coast.
Bray Beach
Just a ten minute walk from our Hotel which is based in Bray. A busy, bustling location, Bray Beach is ideal for a fun day out with family and friends. The length of the beach will take you from the harbour to the top of Bray Head, allowing you to take in the gorgeous sea views. Bray has remained a firm favourite seaside resort for decades now. The DART leaves you right there, and there are so many popular shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes to choose from.
Brittas Bay
Brittas Bay is a beautiful long sandy beach, 10 miles from Wicklow town and a 30 minute drive from the Royal Hotel! Brittas Bay is the most popular beach in Wicklow, it has a 5km stretch of beautiful white sand dunes and clean beaches.
Silver Strand Beach
Located in Dunbur, this beach is a safe, shallow, sandy beach of approximately 0.25km. This beach is popular with and suitable for young families. The sandy beach is safe for swimming at low tide but the beach is mostly covered at high tide time.
Greystones Beach
Located beside Bray, Greystones Beach has a ‘Blue Flag’ status, which means it offers a high standard of water quality, environmental education and beach management. The mixture of pebbles and sand makes it a great place to walk, and the rest of the amenities the pretty village has to offer are right on the beach’s doorstep.
Magheramore Beach
Magheramore beach is a small, secluded beach located just 10 minutes drive outside of Wicklow Town. It's pristine sand and hidden rock pools make it the perfect place to bring the whole family, whether you want to chill out on the sand and read, or play in the water with the kids.
